SelectHikes.com has chosen a unique approach to providing outdoor
information. While a number of good
sources exist for finding information on major destinations, smaller regional destinations
are generally overlooked on the web. While we do want to provide information regarding
the major parks, we don't want to sacrifice smaller regional parks and attractions in the process.
The design of our web site is also very unique. We believe that information is easier to
find when the web site design is kept very simple. Many web sites have become overloaded with too many
advertisements and options placed right on their home page. Our goal is to provide more usefulness to
our readers through the simplicity of our design.
The web is evolving with the ideal in mind of creating a single
place for everyone to exchange information. This site is designed according to that ideal.
